Deja Vu All Over Again; The Global Muslim Brotherhood Condemns Belgian Attacks

0

By now a distressingly common pattern has developed as each latest terrorist incident is followed by the same round of increasingly terse condemnations by the Global Muslim Brotherhood. Yesterday, the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood website put out their latest condemnation:

March 22, 2016 The Muslim Brotherhood strongly condemns the terrorist attacks Tuesday (March 22) at a Belgian airport and a subway station in the capital Brussels, which left dozens of innocent people dead and injured.

The group denounces these heinous crimes, whatever the nationality of the perpetrator, based on its principles which sanctify innocent human souls, that according to God’s commands must not be taken without good cause, and which all divine laws and international conventions have safeguarded.

The Muslim Brotherhood offers its sincere condolences to the people and government of Belgium in their painful plight and these treacherous events. Our deep sympathy to the families of the victims, and our sincere wishes for peace and speedy healing for the injured.

On the same day, the Federation of Islamic Organizations in Europe (FIOE), representing the European Muslim Brotherhood, issued their own statement:

March 22, 2016 The Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe strongly condemns the bomb blasts perpetrated in Brussels this morning, resulting in a number of innocent victims, and stands in solidarity with Belgium and its people in the face of terrorism and criminal acts.

The Federation denounces in the strongest terms the terror explosions in Brussels airport and subway station, as successively reported. FIOE is fully confident that such acts will not succeed in intimidating the Belgian people or undermining the public morale.

The Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe shares the Belgian people’s feelings of grief in this painful tragedy, expresses heartfelt condolences to the innocent victims, and wishes a speedy recovery for the injured.

As always, these statements show no evidence that the Global Muslim Brotherhoods prepared to acknowledge let alone examine its own role in the jihadist violence, a role that includes promulgating the notion that there is a “War on Islam”, encouraging Muslims to view their participation in Western societies solely through the lens of religion, the direct financing and support of Palestinian terrorism, and as a forthcoming report will demonstrate, a long history of political cooperation with US/EU designated terrorists associated with Al Qaeda and possibly ISIS as well.
