Bosnian Grand Mufti Meets With Turkish State Minister

A Turkish news portal has reported that Bosnian Grand Mufti Mustaf Ceric has met with a Turkish State Minister to discuss joint projects between the two countries. According to the report:

Turkish State Minister Mustafa Said Yazicioglu met on Thursday with Bosnia-Herzegovina’s grand mufti, Mustafa Ceric.Speaking at the meeting Yazicioglu said negative thoughts against Islam in the Western world could be overcome with joints projects that would be run between countries like Turkey and Bosnia-Herzegovina, adding that the project for the Alliance of Civilizations was an important step in this respect. Yazicioglu said Turkey’s Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) was running many projects in Bosnia-Herzegovina, including the restoration of historical sites in the country. After his meeting with Ceric, the Turkish minister inaugurated a linguistic center which was funded by TIKA at the Sarajevo International University.

Dr. Ceric is tied to the global Muslim Brotherhood through his membership in the European Council for Fatwa and Research (ECFR), headed by Brotherhood leader Youssef Qaradawi and by his participation in the U.K.-based “Radical Middle Way” consisting of a wide range of associated scholars representing the global Muslim Brotherhood.
