Egyptian ceric Wagdi Ghoneim has issued yet another in his long list of vitriolic statements this time asserting that treachery runs in the blood of Christians. According to a MEMRI translation of the statement:
February 19, 2015 Clip No. 4796 Egyptian Islamist Wagdi Ghoneim on Slaughter of Copts in Libya: Treachery Runs in Christians’ Blood
In a statement uploaded to his personal YouTube channel on February 19, Egyptian Islamist, exiled in Turkey, Wagdi Ghoneim ranted against Coptic Egyptians in the wake of the slaughter of 21 Copts in Libya by ISIS. Ghoneim accused the Copts of staging a coup against former Egyptian President Morsi, and stated that ‘treachery runs in their blood.’
Following are excerpts:
Wagdi Ghoneim: This is my comment on the killing of the Crusaders in Libya.
Before I begin, let me clarify that this is my own personal opinion. It’s true that when growing up, I was with the Muslim Brotherhood, but currently I am not a member of the Muslim Brotherhood organization. So the Muslim Brotherhood should not be held accountable for what I say.
Since ‘Amr ibn Al-‘As conquered Egypt, Islam had thrived Allah be praised, and people had enjoyed justice under the rule of Islam, until the Crusaders in Egypt began conspiring against us Muslims. They began conspiring against us Muslims.
When several Crusaders girls converted to Islam, [the Copts]captured them, with the help of the treacherous State Security, locked them in monasteries, and tortured them, and to this day, we do not know what was has become of our Muslim sister in Egypt. Note that we are the majority. We are 85 million Muslims, while there are four million of them – six million tops. This is according to the statistics that they themselves cite. Is it conceivable that the four million should rule over the 85 million?!

The GMBDW was the first Western media to report in a December 2014 Featured Story that the international police agency INTERPOL had issued a “Red Notice” for Ghoneim.
Wagdy Ghoneim (aka Wagdi Ghoneim Wagdi Ghuniem) is an Egyptian cleric closely tied to the global Muslim Brotherhood and known for his anti-Semitic speeches. In January 2005, Mr. Ghoneim agreed to be voluntarily deported from the US based upon Department of Homeland Security concerns that his past speeches and participation in fund-raising activities could be supportive of terrorist organizations. The GMBDW reported last month that Ghoneim had described Tunisian secularists as “the filthiest and most stinking secularists I’ve ever seen.” The GMBDW reported in September that Ghoneim and two other leaders of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood had arrived in Istanbul following their departure from Qatar. The GMBDW also reported at that time that Ghoneim, known for his long history of extremist statements, had posted a video on his YouTube channel in which he call Western action against ISIS “a Crusader war” and called the late Osama Bin Laden the “martyred heroic mujahid, Bin Laden.”
