JEDDAH: Muhammad Badahdah, assistant secretary-general of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), has emphasized the need to make use of modern information media, including the highly popular social media, to propagate the message of Islam. Opening a media workshop organized by Chennamangallur Islahiya Association, Jeddah chapter, Badahdah said Muslims should obtain more training in media activities in order to become masters in the field and give the mass media a proper direction. ‘The media has become a major changing force in the world. Nobody can ignore its power and influence. We have to make use of modern media to spread the true message of Islam and remove the misunderstandings about this great religion,’ he said.

Muslim Brothers were instrumental in the founding of WAMY and the organization continues to enjoy close relations with the global Muslim Brotherhood.
