The Facebook page of Majed Al-Zeer, a trustee of the UK-based Palestinian Return Centre (PRC), has reported that the PRC Executive Director Arafat Shoukri is leaving the UK where he had been residing to take an unidentified job in Qatar. According to an online bio, Arafat Madi (aka Arafat Madi Shoukri) is described as follows:
June 26, 2014 Arafat Shoukri is Executive Director of the Palestinian Return Centre (PRC) and Chair of the European Campaign to End the Siege on Gaza, an umbrella body of more than 30 NGOs across Europe. He has participated in many conferences on the issue of Palestinian refugees and is a regular commentator in the media about the current affairs of the Palestinian refugees. He holds a PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
Dr. Shoukri is also known to be the head of the Council for European Palestinian Relations (CEPR). The Palestinian Return Centre, European Campaign to End the Siege on Gaza, and the Council for European Palestinian Relations are all part of the Hamas support infrastructure in Europe and close to the Global Muslim Brotherhood.
In April, the GMBDW reported that UK Prime Minister David Cameron had ordered an inquiry into the activities of the Muslim Brotherhood in the United Kingdom. It is not known if Dr. Shoukri’s departure for Qatar, known to be a haven for Muslim Brotherhood, is related to that investigation.
