BREAKING NEWS: One Killed And Ten Injured In Van Attack Near London Muslim Brotherhood Complex

UK media is reporting that one man has died and 10 others injured when a van rammed into worshippers near a complex of UK Muslim Brotherhood facilities early this morning. According to a Telegraph report:

June 19, 2017 One man has died and 10 others were injured when a van was rammed into worshippers in a terror attack near a London mosque, before the driver is said to have screamed: ‘I’m going to kill all Muslims’.

The van driver – described by witnesses as a large white man – was detained by members of the public after the incident in Finsbury Park early on Monday that police said had ‘all the hallmarks of terrorism’.

The white van ploughed into pedestrians as the area was busy with worshippers attending Ramadan night prayers in Seven Sisters Road at 12.20am.

A 48-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in custody.

The man who died is believed to have been an elderly worshipper who was already receiving first aid from members of the public after collapsing. It is not yet known if his death was caused by the attack, police said.

One witness described being surrounded by ‘bodies’ in the wake of the attack outside the Muslim Welfare House, yards from Finsbury Park mosque.

In April 2013, the GMBDW reported on how the Finsbury Mosque was taken over by the UK Muslim Brotherhood. The media report that was the basis for that post indicated that Jeremy Corbyn, at that time a local Labour MP, delivered the re-opening speech at the mosque. It should also be noted that one of the Finsbury Mosque Trustees is fugitive Hamas commander and UK Muslim Brotherhood figure Mohammad Kathem Sawalha. Other GMBDW reporting on the Finsbury Mosque as included:

  • In November 2015, the we reported that UK Labour Party Leader Jeremy Corbyn had visited the Finsbury  Mosque last Friday where he addressed the congregation on the occasion of Friday prayers.
  • In July 2015, we  reported on the demands by mosque officials that the mosque be removed from a Reuter’s database used to screen banking clients for links to terrorism.
  • In August 2014, we reported that a UK journalist was involuntarily locked in a room at the Finsbury Mosque by mosque officials.

The Muslim Welfare House (MWH) is part of the UK Muslim Brotherhood and closely tied to the Muslim Association of Britain (MAB). Over the years, many of the MWH Directors have been UK Muslim Brotherhood figures including Mohammad Kathem Sawalha.

In December 2011, the GMBDW reported that the MWH was leading a campaign to prevent a neighboring supermarket from selling alcohol and a post from September 2011 reported on the murder of an MWH religious leader.

Editor’s Note: It should go without saying that the GMBDW reports the ties between the Finsbury Mosque/Muslim Welfare House and the UK Muslim Brotherhood as part  of our editorial mission to inform the public on important developments concerning the Global Muslim Brotherhood. We do not support, endorse, or condone any actions taken outside the law with respect to any person(s) or property and we wish to express our condolences to the families of the victims in this attack.
