WAMY Holds Cultural Forum In Kurdistan

The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) has announced that it held a cultural forum for 120 students in Kurdistan under the auspices of the Sulaymaniyah governorate. Topics of the seminars included the role of culture in the lives of women, educational and a revival of the spirit, and personal success. Presenters included Professor Madrik Aref and Dr. Aliyah Faraj.

Muslim Brothers were instrumental in the founding of WAMY and the organization continues to enjoy close relations with the global Muslim Brotherhood. U.S. government agencies and officials have argued that WAMY has helped spread Islamic extremism around the world as well as sponsoring terrorism in places such as Bosnia, Israel, and India. Numerous previous posts have discussed WAMY’s activities throughout the world.

Previous posts have discussed the role of the Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU), the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, in the Kurdish government.
