According to a variety of sources, an event titled the “Al-Quds (Jerusalem) International Forum Meeting” was held in Istanbul from November 15-17 with the participation of 5,000 guests from 60 countries. The event was organized by Turkey’s Waqf for Volunteering Organizations (TGTV), described as an umbrella organization for dozens of Islamic foundations in Turkey and which has close ties to the ruling AKP, in cooperation with the Al-Quds International Institution established by global Muslim Brotherhood leader Youssef Qaradawi. The Secretary-General of the Al-Quds International Institution is Akram Adeloni (aka Adlouni) who was the likely author of a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood document calling for the Islamic takeover of the United States. A virulently “anti-Zionist” declaration was issued at the conclusion of the affair. Notable attendees included Youssef Qaradawi; Sheikh Raed Salah, the head of Al-Aqsa foundation which helps to finance Hamas; Jerusalem’s Mufti Ikrima Sabri; Jerusalem Bishop Attallah Hanna; and Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, the Turkish Sec. Gen. of OIC. Also invited but who did not attend were South Africa’s Nelson Mandela, Jimmy Carter and Ramsey Clark from U.S. and Hugo Chavez of Venezuela. Khaled Mash’al, the political leader of Hamas living in Syria, was also invited but it is not clear if he attended.
