Among the the large number of left-wing sponsoring groups are the following US Muslim Brotherhood organizations:
- American Muslims for Palestine (AMP)
- Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)
- Muslim American Society Immigrant Justice Center
- Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA)
The GMBDW last reported on the organization known as the International Answer Coalition in connection with a 2010 Washington DC demonstration protesting that “victims of American aggression.” ANSWER was the creation of former attorney general Ramsey Clark and his International Action Center and has its roots in the far left Workers World Party. The Muslim American Society (MAS) has participated in events along side ANSWER since 2003 and it is common for Muslim Brotherhood groups in the US and Europe to be found in coalitions with leftwing and far left political groups who also support Palestinian causes.
The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) is a part of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood and considered to be closely tied to the Jamaat-e-Islami organization of Southeast Asia, itself allied with the Global Muslim Brotherhood. ICNA is particularly close to the MAS and the two organizations have been holding joint conferences in recent years.
