In remarks cited by a Pakistani online media source, Sheikh Youssef Qaradawi called on Arab and Muslim countries to “learn a lesson” from the 1967 war between Israel and its Arab neighbors and

…get united in the face of the Israeli ongoing aggression and violations of the Palestinians’™ rights.

He also criticized the Arab military performance and complained that the outcome resulted in a preoccupation by the defeated parties with recovery of land who became “oblivious” to what he called the “illegitimacy” of Israel itself. He also complained that by signing the Camp David accords, Israel accomplished what he described as its

attempt by Israel to neutralize Egypt’™s role in supporting the Palestinians’™s legitimate rights.

Dr. Qaradawi is the single most important figure in the leadership of the Global Muslim Brotherhood.
