The website of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) has announced that the organization will hold its 32nd annual convention in Hartford Connecticut from July 6-8. ICNA is a less well-known part of the Muslim Brotherhood network in the U.S., generally thought to be closely tied to the Jamaat-e-Islami organization of Southeast Asia, itself known to be allied with the Muslim Brotherhood. The press release announcing the conference says that it will be held with support from the Muslim American Society (MAS) and the Connecticut chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), organizations with which ICNA shares close ties. The speakers list for the upcoming conference identifies many individuals associated in different ways with the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood including Imam Siraj Wahhaj, Dr. Jamal Badawi, Imam W. Deen Mohammed, Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi, Sh. Abdalla Idris Ali, Dr Esam Omeish, Sh. Ahmad Sakr, Dr. Sulaiman Nyang, Dr. Parvaiz Ahmad, and Yvonne Ridley.
