The Society of Americans for National Existence (SANE) has issued a press release in response to a statement issued by the Council on Islamic American Relations (CAIR) that called on the producers of a PBS documentary on Islamism to repudiate their ties with the head of SANE who claimed to have been acting as their attorney in their difficulties with PBS. The press release accused CAIR of “base slurring and name-calling” in having accused SANE of racism but as the original post on this subject noted, the SANE statements cited by CAIR are genuine and do appear to be cause for concern. No response has been issued as yet by the filmmakers themselves.
