In one more among a myriad of signs that Muslim Brotherhood organizations are receiving increasing recognition from Western governments, a recent CAIR/Canada dinner was attended by high ranking Ontario public officials including the Ontario Premier, Ministers of Citizenship/Immigration and Education, as well as local mayors and police and fire officials. The dinner was held to honor men and women of Toronto’s emergency services. CAIR/Canada functions essentially as the Canadian branch of the American organization which is an important component of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood network. Perhaps the most important leader of CAIR/Canada is Jamal Badawi who is also a leader in many other key Brotherhood organizations including the Islamic Society of North America and the Fiqh Council of North America.
