The Saudi Ministry of Haj is reporting that a delegation of “young German Muslims” visited the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) headquarters in Jeddah where they were welcomed by the WAMY Assistant Secretary General who briefed then on Islamic principles and the role of youth in Dawa (advocation of Islam). According to the report, the delegation is currently on a visit to Saudi Arabia during which they will perform Umrah (the minor pilgrimage) and tour various cultural and tourist sites. Although the group is unidentified in the report, it should be noted that Ibrahim El-Zayat, the leader of the global Muslim Brotherhood organization in Germany, was formerly the Western European Representative for WAMY as well being as well as a long-time leader in German and European Islamic youth organizations. U.S. government agencies and officials have argued that WAMY has helped spread Islamic extremism around the world as well as sponsoring terrorism in places such as Bosnia, Israel, and India.
